Risk Management

V-Insurance Group has worked closely with Netball Australia to develop a pre-game assessment tool for evaluating potential injury and accident causes on and around the player and public areas. It is an app called Safe Netball and can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play.

Designed to introduce/improve Risk Management processes and reduce the risks associated with participating in netball and related activities, it allows Association and Club Officials to identify safety concerns and electronically record any actions required to address these concerns.

The app includes;
Game Day / Training checklist
Safety Audit
Personal Accident Incident Reports
Public Liability Incident Reports

The pre-formatted checklists make it easy to use, quick to complete and allows you to capture and attach photos or potential hazards or problem areas. Submit your checklists or incident reports electronically and have a permanent record for your files.

The data that you submit is stored in a central location and used by your State Association to identify trends and areas for improvement. You can access your data at any time by contacting your State Netball Association.

Please download the app (search for Safe Netball) and start using it today! We hope you find it to be an invaluable tool to providing a safe environment for everyone involved in Netball.

RISK AND SAFETY OFFICER

We also recommend that each Association appoint a designated Risk & Safety Officer to oversee the safety of everyone involved in Netball. This role is vital and should be integrated into the regular committee meetings at both Association and Club level.

Areas of responsibility include;

  • Health and safety of players, volunteers, officials, supporters and the general public.
  • Incidents that have occurred and action required.
  • Review business practices and protocols regularly.

Please contact V-Insurance Group if you require assistance in implementing this recommendation
